The Detroit Lions may have a superstar on their hands. Rookie wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown has been red-hot for Detroit throughout the month of December and he continued his terrific form on Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons. In fact, with his huge performance in Week 16, St. Brown has joined some elite company in NFL history in two different categories, per the Lions PR team.

St. Brown has now recorded eight or more receptions in each of his past four games, joining former New York Giant and current Los Angeles Ram Odell Beckham Jr. as the only rookie in the Super Bowl era to achieve that feat. Across his previous three games, St. Brown recorded a total of 26 receptions for 249 yards and two touchdowns. He added another nine-reception performance in Week 16, racking up more than 90 yards and adding another touchdown to his season tally of three.

In addition to joining Beckham Jr. in the NFL's record books, St. Brown also etched himself a spot in Lions' lore. St. Brown is now the second Lions wide receiver to ever log 8+ receptions in four-straight games, joining Hall of Famer Calvin Johnson as the only two players in franchise history to achieve that feat.

The emergence of the Lions' rookie wideout as an elite threat in the passing game has opened up Detroit's offense and seen the team become far more competitive of late. While it's been a trying season for fans in Detroit, seeing a bright spot such as St. Brown see so much success in consecutive weeks is a huge boost.
