Atlanta Hawks rookie Trae Young is definitely one of the hottest kids on the block right now. However, on Friday night, Orlando Magic veteran point guard DJ Augustin taught the 20-year-old a bit of a lesson the old school way.

Young was absolutely fooled by Augustin's fake pass, and for a moment there, he did look like a helpless rookie being schooled by a true vet.

Augustin had a good night in his matchup against the Hawks youngster, as the 31-year-old logged 13 points (on 5-of-9 shooting), one three-pointer, three rebounds, seven assists, and two steals as he helped the Magic to a 149-113 blowout victory against Atlanta.

For his part, though, Young kept it going in this one, scoring a team-high 22 points on 8-of-17 shooting, along with a three-pointer, seven rebounds, six assists, and three steals in 27 minutes of action.

This was a big win for the Magic as they were able to leapfrog to the sixth spot in the Eastern Conference playoff picture. They now hold a half-game advantage against the Brooklyn Nets and the Detroit Pistons, who are tied for the seventh seed.

Notably, the ninth-placed Miami Heat lost on Friday against the Minnesota Timberwolves, which also helps the Magic inch closer to clinching a playoffs berth.

Orlando has two more games remaining in the regular season, and both will be tough ones, as they face the Boston Celtics on Sunday, and close out the season in a matchup against the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday.
