New Man United boss Ralf Rangnick hasn't yet arrived at Old Trafford due to visa issues, but he's already pinpointing a player who could help his new club enjoy more success in the future.

According to German outlet Bild's Christian Falk, Rangnick is interested in the services of Chelsea outcast Timo Werner, who previously played under the German at RB Leipzig:

This is definitely interesting however because Werner has struggled immensely to adapt in the Premier League. But, perhaps being under the wing of Rangnick again could help him find his form?

Man United isn't short on options in the final third, but a lot can change between now and the summer. Rangnick's attacking-heavy style of football could make a huge difference at Old Trafford and if there is anyone who knows what Werner is really capable of, it's Rangnick.

The Germany international scored 16 Bundesliga goals with Leipzig when the 63-year-old was at the helm. After making the move to Stamford Bridge in a big-money move last summer, Werner is having a very hard time breaking into Thomas Tuchel's starting XI and finding consistent minutes. His production in the final third has been very poor this term, scoring just once and tallying a lone assist in eight league appearances.

There would arguably be even more pressure on Werner at a club like Man United, but a change of scenery could be a good thing. He did sign a five-year deal with the Blues though, which means United will have to pay a pretty penny to get him.
