Mavs reserve center Boban Marjanovic made a Justin Bieber reference after he was ejected from Tuesday night's game against the Golden State Warriors.

Marjanovic was assessed a Flagrant 2 penalty after unintentionally hitting Warriors guard Jordan Poole in the head. He immediately went to check on Poole, who was shaken up after the play. But officials still ejected the Mavs big man after a replay review.

The 7-foot Serbian took to Instagram to issue an apology of sorts on Wednesday. He quoted old Bieber lyrics, captioning the post “Is it too late now to say sorry?” and hilariously using Bieber's name in the hashtag.

It was abundantly clear Marjanovic did not mean to intend to harm Poole. He was trying to make a play on the ball as Poole drove to the basket. But the NBA has repeatedly penalized what is deemed as “unnecessary” contact to the neck or head area.

The ejection did very little to change the outcome of the contest.

The Mavs absolutely dominated the Dubs en route to a 30-point victory. Luka Doncic scored 39 points on 15-for-23 shooting from the field. Six different players scored in double figures for Dallas.

Marjanovic has played sparingly this season. He has appeared in just 26 games for the Mavs. But he has developed a reputation as a charismatic bench player and one of the nicest guys in the NBA.

Marjanovic showed his softer side with the hilarious Bieber reference on Wednesday.
