Dallas Mavericks big man Boban Marjanorvic, dubbed as the nicest guy in the NBA, was surprisingly thrown out of Tuesday's game versus the Golden State Warriors.

Marjanovic unintentionally hit Jordan Poole on the head and since he’s so tall, Poole got the best of it and was shaken up after falling down.

Boban Marjanovic was then given a Flagrant 2 and ordered to step out of the playing court. Given how referees officiate and decide what a flagrant foul is these days, it makes sense as to why the Mavs big man was ejected. However, it’s clear that Marjanovic had no intention or whatsoever to hurt Poole. In fact, he showed a ton of sportsmanship by making sure Poole was okay both while he was down and when he stood up.

Maybe the referees were just so bored from Tuesday’s blowout victory that they wanted to eject the nicest and most likable guy in the league? Without Marjanovic’s ejection, the Mavs should be content with how they handled Stephen Curry and the Warriors on Tuesday. From the first quarter, Dallas came into the game hot from the field led by Luka Doncic’s 39 points, eight assists and six rebounds.

With this victory, the Mavs avoided slipping to the seventh seed in the competitive Western Conference—a place no team wants to be. Doncic and team owner Mark Cuban have made it clear that they want to avoid the play-in tournament at all cost, so the victory could end up big for them down the line.
