Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks continues to fast-track his growing legacy. For his latest milestone, he became just the 11th player in NBA history to tally 1,000 assists before turning 22 years old.

Doncic achieved the feat in their 113-100 victory over the Houston Rockets on Monday. The all-around guard had a monster triple-double of 33 points, 16 rebounds, and 11 dimes.

For those following Doncic's NBA career, he has broken many “youngest” records and has set several unique ones as well. Last season, he became the first player in Mavericks history to have a 30-point, 20-rebound, and 10-assist triple-double. This was also enough to make him the youngest ever to record such feat in NBA history.

His first ever stint in the NBA Playoffs last season was also pretty spectacular. His 42-point outing in his postseason debut is now the NBA record. He also forged himself alongside the likes of LeBron James, Tracy McGrady, and Magic Johnson.

Apparently, a pair of records wasn't enough for Doncic. So he made more.

The impressive milestones are all glowing indications that Doncic will be one of the pillars of the NBA for years to come. With what he's done in just his first three years, many already believe he is the face of the future of the NBA.

Whether he does live up to the hype is a matter of wait-and-see. But everyone can agree that the sensation from Slovenia has been nothing but stellar so far. It must be quite scary for opposing teams to be reminded that Luka Doncic is still just 21 years old.
