Dallas Mavericks All-Star Luka Doncic’s Slovenian trainer, Jure Drakslar, cleared up his “out of shape” comment by saying his quote wasn't translated correctly. So, Mavs nation has been able to breathe a little easier now that they know Doncic isn't overweight.

Upon seeing the initial quote from Drakslar that wasn't translated properly, Doncic even wondered himself where these reports were coming from:

Luka Doncic, Mavs

Luka Doncic was averaging 28.7 points, 9.3 rebounds and 8.7 assists per game for the Mavs before the season was suspended in March. The Boy Wonder, who was in the MVP conversation, was shooting 46.1 percent from the field, 31.8 percent from beyond the arc, 75.2 percent from the free-throw line and racked up 34 double-doubles and 14 triple-doubles.

The Mavs are in seventh place in the Western Conference standings. Fortunately, the team won't have to battle it out with the New Orleans Pelicans, Phoenix Suns, Memphis Grizzlies, San Antonio Spurs, Sacramento Kings and Portland Trail Blazers for the final playoff spot out West.

Basketball fans, not just Mavs supporters, are excited to see Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis make their respective playoff debuts.

The Mavs franchise hasn't had a lot of success since winning the title in 2011 over the Miami Heat. Dallas hasn't won a single playoff series since 2011. That's why Mavs fans can't wait to watch Doncic and KP lead the franchise at Walt Disney World.

Not a lot of people are giving Dallas a shot to win the West, but that's exactly how Luka and Porzingis want it. Both guys thrive when the naysayers speak out.
