The Dallas Mavericks are currently taking on the Brooklyn Nets in a highly anticipated matchup. Dallas currently leads 62-50 at halftime after Luka Doncic hit a circus-type three-pointer before half-time.

Luka has been sensational in the first half for the Mavs as he currently has 18 points on 7-12 from the field with six assists. The Mavs are having an interesting season that sees them at 11-11. They're currently number seven in the Western Conference but have had dealt with some injuries throughout the season. When all their players are on the court and healthy, they look like a team who could potentially make some noise in the Western Conference playoffs. Whenever a team has a player like Luka Doncic, they're usually going to find success come playoff time. He can take over a game at any moment just like he did on Tuesday in the first half against a tough Nets team.

If the Mavs want to have any success this season, they're going to need everybody to be healthy, Doncic to play the best basketball of his career, and to probably add a piece or two at the trade deadline. The Western Conference is too good for the Mavs not to go out and get a player at the trade deadline, and if they don't, they will find themselves quickly being knocked out of the playoffs.

For the time being, Dallas is doing a great job against a tough Nets team and will look to improve their record to over .500.
