The season was on the line for the Dallas Mavericks as they faced elimination against a powerhouse Phoenix Suns team in Game 6 of their second-round series. Luka Doncic knew what was at stake so he made sure to step it up for the Mavs when it mattered the most.

Atlanta Hawks All-Star guard Trae Young was an avid spectator of the matchup and he had a bit of shade to throw in the direction of Devin Booker and the Suns amid Doncic's dominant display for the Mavs:

“Luka backing that Talk up!!! He cookin these dudes 😂” Young said in his tweet.

It is hard to argue against Young after seeing Luka drop 33 points, 11 rebounds, and eight assists all over the Suns. For his part, Booker looked lost in this one. The Phoenix star did score 19 points, but his eight turnovers doomed the Suns.

The Mavs emerged with a 113-86 blowout victory in Game 6 and have now set up a winner-take-all Game 7 in Phoenix on Saturday. Whoever wins that game will book their spot in the Western Conference Finals to face either the Golden State Warriors or the Memphis Grizzlies.
