During Capcom’s March Monster Hunter Digital Event, the company announced a new demo for the upcoming Monster Hunter Rise game on Nintendo Switch. The demo is set to release on the 11th of March. It will feature new weapons, mechanics, and even the inclusion of its flagship monster, the ferocious Magnamalo.

MONSTER HUNTER RISE DEMO RETURNS MARCH 11

The first Monster Hunter Rise demo released early in January. Fans gave it an overwhelming reception, with Monster Hunter fans crashing the Nintendo eShop upon its release. The demo showcased the familiar universe that series fans have grown to love over the franchise’s long history. Meanwhile,  it also featured the traditional Monster Hunter gameplay revolving around its 14 weapon types.

Players who have given the January demo a spin can simply choose to update their demo to receive the newly updated hunts. Players getting it for the first time can pick up the demo through the Nintendo Switch eShop for free. The demo will allow players to run quests to slay Mizutsune, Great Izuchi, or the aforementioned Magnamalo for up to 30 times. If players choose to fight the Magnamalo, they’ll have to do so on Advanced difficulty with fixed gear. This should prove to be an interesting adventure for anyone seeking a challenge.

In addition, up to four players can play the demo together over a local connection or by using the game’s online multiplayer. However, each player needs to download their own separate copy of the demo. Unfortunately, players need a Nintendo Switch Online subscription to play online multiplayer. Anyone who updates their game can expect their available quests to reset back to 30. However, if you wish to try the hunts again past the 30 quest limit, you can simply delete your save file to reset the counter.

Monster Hunter Rise is set to release on March 26th, 2021, for the Nintendo Switch.
