The top basketball video game, the NBA 2K series, has continued unveiling the ratings for players for the upcoming NBA 2K18, which is scheduled to be released on September 15. After revealing the numbers for some of the league’s stars like Damian Lillard, Isaiah Thomas, and Paul George, 2K Sports tweeted the first look and ratings for Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant recently.

Now, one of the most anticipated first-year players making his debut this coming season has been given his own, and was shared to the public by the game developers.

Los Angeles Lakers rookie Lonzo Ball was given a rating of 80, similar to what the top overall pick, Markelle Fultz, also received. The tweet includes the first look of the former UCLA star wearing the Purple and Gold jersey in the game.

While it can be argued that he deserves to have a higher rating, it also makes sense that 2K Sports only gave him 80 as he has not played a single regular season game in the NBA yet. Although he was very impressive during the Summer League, where he was named MVP of the tournament, Ball hasn't played against actual NBA-level competition.

If he’ll be successful in continuing to play stellar basketball once the new season starts, there's no doubt that he can receive a major boost to his ratings. Either way, the sky's the limit for Ball, as he definitely has a lot of upside and potential to become a superstar someday.
