Former University of Oregon big man Bol Bol is officially headed to the Denver Nuggets after they acquired him from the Miami Heat. On Thursday evening, the Heat selected the former Ducks standout with the No. 44 overall pick in the second round of the 2019 NBA Draft before trading with the Nuggets.

Bol, who is of course the son of former NBA center Manute Bol, served just a brief stint at Oregon as the up-and-coming big man was forced to miss the majority of what ultimately became his lone collegiate season due to injury.

Bol notably sustained a lingering foot injury after a mere nine regulation appearances as a member of the Ducks men's basketball program.

Even so, there was little doubt that he would return to Oregon for his sophomore campaign as the son of the legendary Manute Bol came out of high school as a top-tier prospect.

Despite suffering an injury early on in his collegiate career, the youngster definitely put his incredible ability on full display while dunking, defending and even shooting three-pointers for the Ducks in 2018-19.

Now officially a member of the Nuggets, he will begin to make the transition to the professional ranks of the NBA, which will obviously be the true test as to whether or not his immense size can hold up going forward.

With the younger Bol standing at 7'2″ while weighing 235 pounds, his father infamously stood at a whopping 7'7″ while weighing only 200 pounds.
