Golden State Warriors shooting guard Klay Thompson says “it will be hard to see me not playing” in Game 3 of the NBA Finals on Wednesday.

Thompson says he'll be a game time decision, but fully expects to be out there with his teammates.

Thompson is averaging 19.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.1 assists for the Warriors in the 2019 postseason. The All-Star guard is shooting 44.0 percent from the field, 41.1 percent from beyond the arc and 89.7 percent from the free-throw line.

Thompson has never missed a playoff game in his NBA career. Everyone in Golden State would be shocked if Klay doesn't play in Game 3. The sharpshooter is as tough as they come.

Hamstring strains are tricky injuries because they can flare up at any moment. One misstep and Thompson could make the ailment worse. The Warriors' training staff will do its best to manage the pain and swelling before Game 3 on Wednesday.

Thompson, Stephen Curry, Draymond Green and Andre Iguodala have all played superb in the absence of Kevin Durant. The foursome are trying to win their fourth championship together on the Warriors. Golden State has to win both Games 3 and 4 at Oracle Arena to keep home-court advantage. The Dubs have lost only twice all postseason at home.
