Big man Ekpe Udoh is signing a one-year contract with the Beijing Ducks of the Chinese Basketball Association, per Eurohoops.net.

Udoh, 32, last played for the Utah Jazz, spending two seasons with the franchise playing a reserve center role behind two-time Defensive Player of the Year Rudy Gobert.

The 6-foot-10 Udoh will be the “highest-paid import” in the CBA.

This isn't the first time Udoh signed to play professionally overseas. He played for Turkish club Fenerbahçe from 2015-17, winning the 2017 EuroLeague championship and earning the Final Four MVP award in the process. Udoh spent only a single game with Israeli club Bnei Herzliya during the NBA's 2011 lockout.

Udoh was selected with the sixth overall pick in the first round of the 2010 NBA Draft by the Golden State Warriors after playing collegiately with the University of Michigan and Baylor University, transferring and missing court action during his junior year.

Udoh was traded by the Warriors to the Milwaukee Bucks in 2012 in the deal that brought former first overall pick Andrew Bogut and Stephen Jackson to Golden State. After 141 games with the Bucks, Udoh signed as a free agent with the Clippers before going international to begin his Turkish career.

Udoh has averaged 3.5 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks in 384 career NBA appearances, shooting 45.3% from the field and 71.8% from the free throw line.
