Indiana Pacers big man Myles Turner has found his name in trade rumors for the last two seasons. Yet, he remains with the same team. However, Turner is evidently a hot commodity ahead of the NBA trade deadline and it appears he could finally get what appears to be his wish: to leave the Pacers.

Per Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Dallas Mavericks, Los Angeles Lakers, Charlotte Hornets, and New York Knicks are all interested in the versatile center:

“Rival NBA teams are ramping up conversations with the Pacers involving guard Caris LeVert and center Myles Turner. The Mavericks and Knicks are expressing interest in trading for Turner, sources said. The Lakers and Hornets have had a level of interest in Turner as well, sources added.”

Turner has grown increasingly frustrated with his role in Indiana, recently ripping the organization for his lack of involvement in the offense.

Many organizations are keen on Turner, though, and for good reason. He's one of the best frontcourt defenders in the league, averaging an NBA-best 2.9 blocks per game while also showing the ability to shoot the 3-ball. In 39 games this season, he's averaging 13.1 points and 7.3 rebounds on a 35% clip from beyond the arc.

All four of the teams interested could use a frontcourt reinforcement. The Lakers are in desperate need of another player who is reliable defensively, especially with Anthony Davis still out. The Knicks have struggled to limit their opponents. Same story with the Hornets, though the Mavs have really ramped things up defensively of late.

Needless to say, it seems increasingly likely we'll see Turner on another NBA team within the coming weeks.
