The Brooklyn Nets were completely outplayed by the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday with Stephen Curry and Co. coming away with a 117-99 blowout win at the Barclays Center. After the game, Nets superstar Kevin Durant got brutally honest about his thoughts on the Dubs and their dominant display.

KD had nothing but praise for the Warriors as he pointed out how their defense was the key factor that led to Brooklyn's loss (h/t Dave Early of ClutchPoints):

“Defensively they did a good job of packing the paint and switching up the defenses throughout each possession,” Durant said. “They might go to a box and one, triangle and two, then they might switch everything, so they do a good job of I'm sure they practice all that stuff then applying it to the game.”

The Warriors did an excellent job in containing Durant, holding him to just 19 points on 6-of-19 shooting. James Harden also had a subpar shooting night for the Nets, going 6-of-13 for 24 points.

KD knew that they were outclassed by the Dubs on Wednesday, with Stephen Curry once agan leading the way. The Warriors guard exploded for a game-high 37 points on no less than nine triples. Simply put, Brooklyn had no answer for the former back-to-back MVP on the evening.

Durant, who himself played several years for the Warriors before taking his talents to Brooklyn, then confessed his admiration towards the Warriors:

“That's a team that you look at you take a lot from that as a team and understand that's the level that you want to get to,” Durant added.

The Warriors are arguably the best team in the NBA right now and their league-best 12-2 record serves as a testament to this claim. For KD, he knows that his Nets will need to play at the same level as the Warriors if they want to achieve their goals this season.
