Ben Simmons may not be suiting up for the Brooklyn Nets in their trip to Philadelphia to face the 76ers, but he's not shying away from entering the building.

The former Sixers star is reportedly going to be present on the Nets bench as he slowly makes his way towards making his debut with his new club.

Nets coach Steve Nash spoke candidly on Ben Simmons facing his demons in Philly. While he won't be taking the court, the heckling he'll getting from his former supporters will likely be just as hostile in street clothes.

“It is what it is. He’s a big boy. He’ll be fine … he wants to be there on the bench with his teammates,” said Nash on Ben Simmons attending the Nets-Sixers game.

According to Nash, the vitriol that Sixers fans will inevitably hurl at Ben Simmons will only help him as he tries to get over the mental side of things. Getting the road game in Philly out of the way in person now will make it easier if ever he has to make the trek back for the postseason.

While the Nets-Sixers matchup will be an interesting one on the court, most eyes will likely be on the 6'10 forward sitting inches off of it.
