The New York Giants are coming off a loss against the Los Angeles Rams, when they were blown out 38-11 and were dominated in every facet of the game. This week, Big Blue takes on the 3-3 Carolina Panthers, who are coming off an overtime loss to the Minnesota Vikings.

The Panthers started the season 3-0 but have lost their last three games since. This game will be critical for both teams as they try to get back on track. With that said, here are four bold predictions for the Giants in Week 7 against the Panthers.

4. Giants lose third straight game

The Giants have been one of the worst teams in the NFL this season. They have dealt with injuries, most notably to star running back Saquon Barkley. The Giants are still in the midst of a rebuild and simply don't have enough talent to keep up with opposing teams.

They have allowed many points on defense and turned the ball over frequently on offense. Last week, Daniel Jones threw for zero touchdowns and three interceptions (Pro Football Reference). This resulted in an easy victory for the Rams, and the Giants are still not ready to win another game.

3. Devontae Booker rushes for a touchdown

With Barkley out, Devontae Booker has taken over as the primary ball carrier. Booker has played well in the opportunities he has gotten as the lead back. On the season, Booker has 35 carries for 105 yards and a touchdown. He has also has ten receptions for 58 yards and a touchdown (Pro Football Reference). While his numbers aren't elite like Barkley's, he has helped the Giants run game not be atrocious.

2. Giants defense picks off Sam Darnold

Even though the Giants defense has allowed a ton of points, they have been able to force turnovers. Last week against the Rams, the Giants defense had two interceptions. This was surprising as the Rams typically take care of the ball very well.

They now take on the Panthers, who have a quarterback in Sam Darnold who has turned the ball over frequently. This season, Darnold has thrown for 1,573 yards along with seven touchdowns and seven interceptions. He also has a low completion percentage at 61.2 percent (Pro Football Reference).

Look for the Giants defense to pick off Darnold despite not having an elite defense.

1. Daniel Jones throws two touchdowns

The Giants took Daniel Jones with the 6th pick back in 2019, but he has not lived up to expectations. Many expected a breakout season for Jones after the Giants brought in wide receivers Kenny Golladay and Kadarius Toney. Unfortunately, those receivers have been in and out of the lineup due to injuries. Jones has been unable to be a consistent player and continues to struggle with turnovers.

So far this season, Jones has 1,524 yards and only four touchdowns. He also has a low completion percentage at 62.2 percent (Pro Football Reference). While he hasn't had a good season, the Panthers are coming off a game where they allowed 34 points. Jones and the Giants offense need to capitalize on this as they need every bit of help they can get.

Look for Jones to throw for two touchdowns as the Giants try to get back on track. The Giants aren't ready to contend for a playoff spot yet, but they should focus on building chemistry and improving every week.
