Call of Duty: Warzone may be a free-to-play battle royale but developer Raven Software is keeping a close eye on things. The massively successful game enjoyed big updates in December 2020 along with the introduction of Rebirth Island. Subsequently, Raven addressed recent player concerns regarding overly dominant weapons in Warzone.

New orders

It's a brand new year for many but Raven Software is getting right back to work fixing their battle royale. Fans apparently aired grievances about specific weapons dominating the meta. In response to this, Raven Software promised tweaks for the DMR 14, Type 63, Mac 10, and dual pistols. However, because these aren't official updates as of yet, these changes are subject to change.

Raven Software stated that they will “address concerns” from their players showing their valuing of player feedback. They further emphasized that the incoming weapons changes will only be applicable to Warzone and not to any other Call of Duty game mode. The guns in question were added to Warzone from Black Ops Cold War in December 2020. Players soon found destructive ways to use their new toys in no time. Treyarch handles the changes and balances for Black Ops Cold War separately so it's an entirely different operation.

Meanwhile, Infinity Ward is most likely working on the latest iteration of Call of Duty while Raven Software focuses on balances and fixes for Warzone. Players that have enjoyed the dominance of these weapons still have a few days left to savor the experience. No specific date was given out in the patch teaser but we can be sure it'll drop relatively soon.
