The NFL has fined the San Francisco 49ers, Jacksonville Jaguars and Dallas Cowboys for OTA violations after an investigation into the matter, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The three head coaches of these teams are also getting fined.

The 49ers picked up a $100,000 fine, with head coach Kyle Shanahan getting docked $50,000. The Cowboys were hit with the same $100,000 fine, while Mike McCarthy matched Shanahan's $50,000 fine.

Urban Meyer and the Jaguars got the worst of it. Jacksonville picked up a $200,000 fine, with Meyer, who's new to this whole NFL head coaching thing, racking up a $100,000 punishment. Given Meyer isn't as familiar with these rules as the other coaches, it's not that surprising that he and the Jaguars were fined the highest amount.

That's $600,000 in total for these teams and coaches. The teams are also reportedly going to lose OTA days in 2022.

It's unclear at this time just what exactly was done wrong to result in these fines. There are some pretty strict rules in place about what can be done during offseason workouts, and clearly the NFL is cracking down on offenders of the rules.

We'll see if any more information comes out about the nature of these violations, and if any other teams get in trouble.
