Many social media users are often reluctant when it comes to commenting on an athlete or celebrity's Twitter posts – but as it turns out, it could be a lifesaver. Former NFL wide receiver Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson was just that type of heroic figure on Friday afternoon.

According to Caitlyn Holroyd of The Score, a Twitter user named Chris tweeted that he was “facing eviction” at the former Cincinnati Bengals standout, soon after Johnson issued a tweet essentially asking about everybody's day.

Johnson replied shortly after, requesting that the user show him the notice.

Soon after that, Johnson sent $1,500 to Chris' PayPal account – and the young man couldn't have been more grateful.

“God is our refuge and strength,'” Chris tweeted after the payment. “I owe this man my life.”

Johnson followed it up the only way he saw fit, being the lifelong competitor that he is.

Saying that the user's landlord could play him in a game of FIFA for the rent money in the future.

“Tell your landlord next time WE fall behind on rent to play me in FIFA for the balance,” Johnson responded.

Not a bad deal, right?

Both for Chris and his landlord.

As he's always been, even throughout his prime playing days, “Ochocinco” is a man of the people.

He is a six-time Pro Bowler who has a career 766 catches, 11,059 yards, and 67 touchdowns.

But most notably over the course of his 11-year NFL career, Chad Johnson was known as a fan favorite – a title that he obviously still carries with him today.
