Chuck Pagano has been without an NFL head coaching job since the Indianapolis Colts decided to let him go and move in another direction.

That hasn't stopped his itch from once again being a coach in the league as he voiced during an appearance on NFL Network's Good Morning Football on Wednesday that he is aiming to get another coaching opportunity (h/t Marc Sessler of NFL.com).

“I mean, I'm young. I'm 57 years old. So, I figure I've got a couple years left in me. I've got some unfinished business,” Pagano said Wednesday on Good Morning Football. “So, I'd love to have another opportunity, I don't care what it is. I just love being around the guys, being on the grass and competing.”

At this point, it is unlikely that next coaching gig would be a head coach opening, but he has much pedigree in the league with his extended experience being well more than a decade in the NFL. His expertise comes on the defensive side of the ball having first begun his coaching career as the secondary coach for the Cleveland Browns that led to him moving on to the Oakland Raiders as the defensive backs coach.

Pagano then went on to be the secondary coach with the Baltimore Ravens where he worked his way to the defensive coordinator position for a season before being hired by the Colts. He had experienced success early on in his tenure in Indianapolis with three straight playoff appearances that were capped by a trip to the AFC Championship game. However, the team had missed the postseason in the last three years.

There may not be a job opening at this moment, but it could be a matter of time before he's able to get the next opportunity to get back into the league.
