With the Coronavirus outbreak, NFL teams had some unique situations including trades not being officially processed. Via Adam Schefter of ESPN.

The DeAndre Hopkins and David Johnson trade is still agreed upon. But with the lack of physicals, they haven't been allowed to go through. Other NFL players signing deals also haven't officially signed their deal because of the lack of physicals.

One player who is dealing with that is Todd Gurley who is quarantined in LA. Gurley is an interesting case because of the trouble surrounding his knee, which makes his physical even more important. During the 2019 season, Gurley played in 15 games rushing 223 times for 857 yards and 12 touchdowns.

The Falcons have had issues finding a consistent running back and the hope is Gurley can fill that role. But the knee is the big question mark with him.

With the pushback the Texans received from the trade, some might wonder why they don't back out while they still have a chance. But that would probably ruin some trust around the NFL.

The same could be said about NFL free agents. Teams technically could sign players to contract sheets and then depending on who they draft, could “find something” in his physical and decide to not sign him to the contract.

If teams were to do that, they would probably burn their relationships with agents because of their shady business handling, but it's still something some teams may consider.

This is a unique time for the world and the NFL is trying to adjust the best they can.
