The writing was on the wall for Jameis Winston's exit out of Tampa Bay earlier this offseason. The fact that the Buccaneers signed Tom Brady last week was just confirmation.

Now, Winston is looking for a new home, and on Wednesday, he took to Instagram stories to show the world that he is preparing for his next step.

Via Colin Liotta of Bucs Wire, Winston posted numerous clips of himself working out and staying in shape, also flashing a smile toward the end.

Jameis Winston, Buccaneers

Given that most quarterback-needy teams have already filled their spots under center, Winston doesn't have many options, but some team will surely give Winston a chance heading into 2020.

The 26-year-old, who played his collegiate football at Florida State, was originally selected by the Buccaneers with the first overall pick of the 2015 NFL Draft.

He showed promise during his rookie campaign, making the Pro Bowl. He then displayed slight progression in his second season before the wheels began to fall off in Year 3.

Due to injury issues and poor performance in general, Winston's stock dropped significantly in 2017 and 2018, even resulting in Tampa Bay benching him for a stretch.

Winston then had a Jekyll and Hyde type of season in 2019, to say the least. While he led the NFL with 5,109 passing yards and threw 33 touchdowns, he also paced the league with 30 interceptions, making him the first player in NFL history to total 30 touchdowns and 30 picks in the same year.

The Bessemer, Alabama native certainly has talent, but he has yet to put it all together.
