There is some intrigue surrounding the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with Tom Brady under center and how the New England Patriots plan to replace him. With that in mind, the NFL issued a statement, saying that the scheduling quirk between the Patriots and Buccaneers were merely a coincidence.

Upon releasing the 2020 schedule this past Thursday, it was discovered that the Patriots and Buccaneers rarely kick off their games at the same time. As a matter of fact, the first week that both teams begin their games at the same time won't happen until December 20.

That week, New England is scheduled to face the Miami Dolphins on the road. On the other hand, Tampa Bay is slated to travel to take on the Atlanta Falcons.

Then, after Week 15, the only other time they will have games happening at the same time will be in Week 17. To finish the season, the Patriots will host the New York Jets, while the Buccaneers host the Falcons.

In addition, both the Patriots and the Buccaneers have different bye weeks next season. Of course, that isn't out of the ordinary, with all 32 teams needing to be split from Weeks 5-13.

There's no doubt that New England and Tampa Bay are two of the most interesting teams to watch in 2020. Following Brady's departure in free agency, the Patriots are no longer viewed as Super Bowl contenders.

As for the Buccaneers, they're suddenly regarded as juggernauts in the NFC South. For the fans in Foxborough that will continue supporting Brady, they'll have a chance to watch his games before or after Patriots games next season.
