The duo of LeSean McCoy and Frank Gore is one powerhouse backfield—that is of pre-1980s when both backs routinely carried the ball. Nowadays, each has represented the workhorse back of their respective squads.

Not only do they each share respect, they're working out together this summer, via McCoy's official Instagram account.

“When you talk about greatness you talking Frank Gore,” McCoy wrote. “Learning from the best.”

Of course, Gore replied by kicking it back McCoy's way.

“The best running back in the NFL Shady McCoy 10 years in still doing it,” Gore commented.

McCoy, 29, has, amazingly, yet to reach the age of 30 despite all of his years in the league—nine years, to be exact. Actually, a more appropriate description would be “nine tremendous seasons.”

Through six years in Philadelphia and three in Orchard Park, New York, Shady has racked up 10,092 yards and 66 touchdowns in total on the ground (4.6 YPC). HE's also gone for 3,378 yards and 15 scores on 441 receptions.

Gore, 35, is a little older than McCoy. Coming into the league back in 2015 as a third-round selection out of The U, Gore's entering his 14th season in the league with his third franchise, the Miami Dolphins.

A decade in San Francisco and three years in Indy has allowed Gore to compile 14,026 yards and 77 touchdowns (4.3 YPC).

But let's not entirely speak about these two probable Pro Football Hall of Famers like their careers are over. The 2018 NFL season is upcoming and both old-school backs are readying themselves for another stellar season out of the backfield.
