Former NFL wide receiver Percy Harvin told Josina Anderson of ESPN that he wants to make his return to the league. Harvin hasn't been in the league since 2016, but he is only 31 years old.

“I'm ready to return to the NFL,” Percy Harvin told Anderson. “I thought I was done, but that itch came back. I've been training w/a former Olympian. My body is feeling good. Mentally I'm better. My family is good. The timing is right.”

Harvin dealt with numerous injuries during his career, including migraines. Harvin officially retired back in 2017 after a stand with the Buffalo Bills. Harvin said at that time it wasn't the right thing to do because his body and mind weren't functioning correctly.

“I knew I wasn't functioning right, not only physically, just all around the board,” Percy Harvin told Anderson. “I had to get in contact with myself.”

Harvin was a first-round pick by the Minnesota Vikings back in 2009. He was a standout instantly in the NFL, being named NFL offensive rookie of the year. In 2013 the Vikings shipped him off to the Seattle Seahawks, where he was a key part of their Super Bowl victory. He returned an 87-yard kickoff return against the Denver Broncos.

When he was in the league, he was explosive when the ball was in his hand. If he hasn't lost a step it makes a lot sense for a team to bring him in. It's unclear at this point if there are any teams interested in bringing him in, but maybe after the draft teams will start to do their homework.
