Ron Rivera is a respected coach in the NFL — that was proven on Friday. Following his diagnosis of lymph node cancer, teams across the league expressed their best wishes to Rivera on social media.

Rivera's former team, the Carolina Panthers, reached out to extend their support to Ron Rivera as he battles cancer. Besides the Panthers, quite a few teams didn't hesitate to share their encouragement for the veteran head coach.

As Ron Rivera takes on the challenge of turning around the Washington Football Team, he revealed that he was recently diagnosed with lymph node cancer. Despite the diagnosis, Rivera plans on coaching throughout the entirety of the 2020 season without any limitations.

However, if Ron Rivera is forced to miss games, then Jack Del Rio would assume the duties of head coach for Washington. Del Rio was hired to be the defensive coordinator for Washington this offseason. Also, Del Rio has previous experience as a head coach, coaching the Jacksonville Jaguars and Oakland Raiders.

Aside from his career in the NFL as a player and coach, Ron Rivera is regarded by many as a remarkable human being. Even though he's no longer coaching for the Panthers, he still does charity work in Carolina.

For players, coaches, or any employees in the league, the NFL is viewed as a brotherhood for all involved. Therefore, it shouldn't come as a surprise that teams across the league are rooting for Rivera. It goes without saying that we all wish a speedy and full recovery for Rivera.
