Lamar Miller was unable to log a single snap last season due to a season-ending knee injury, but he appears to be making positive progress in his recovery. In a video he posted on his official Twitter account, Miller showed that he's ready to return to the NFL in 2020.

During the first drive of Houston's third preseason game in 2019, Miller suffered a torn ACL. The veteran running back was placed on injured reserve and would miss the entire regular season.

Following Miller's injury, the Texans decided to acquire Carlos Hyde via trade from the Kansas City Chiefs. Hyde would produce the first 1,000-yard season in his career amid Miller's absence.

The timing of Miller's injury was less-than-ideal, considering that he was entering a contract year with the Texans. Back in 2016, the Miami product would sign a four-year, $26 million deal with Houston.

In his first two seasons with the Texans, Miller accumulated 2,476 yards from scrimmage and 12 touchdowns. Then, in his third season in 2018, Miller would make first Pro Bowl, contributing 1,136 scrimmage yards and six touchdowns.

At this point in the offseason, there aren't going to be many — if any — teams that are looking for a starting running back. But given the circumstances, Miller would likely accept a complementary role with a team this offseason.

However, seeing that he's coming off of a serious injury, some teams are wary of adding him to their roster this offseason. At the least, the 29-year-old running back seems to be making remarkable progress in his recovery from knee surgery.
