More injuries in the NFL in 2020, and specifically for the Denver Broncos.

This time it's tight end Noah Fant.

Fant was carted off the field in the fourth quarter Thursday night in the Broncos game against the New York Jets with an apparent ankle injury and has been ruled out for the remainder of the game.

The Broncos were already shorthanded coming into tonight's Week 4 game, missing quarterback Drew Lock, running back Phillip Lindsay and wide receiver Courtland Sutton. They also lost receiver KJ Hamler tonight.

Even with the Broncos limited the played well against the Jets, picking up their first victory over the winless Jets. The Jets made it a game after Pierre Desir returned his second interception of the night 35 yards for a touchdown with 10:45 left. The Jets attempted a two-point conversion but failed.

Noah Fant was taken with the 20th overall pick by the Broncos in the 2019 NFL Draft.

Fant caught five passes for 35 yards in Thursday's game prior to the injury. So far in 2020 the Broncos tight end has caught 14 passes for 184 yards and two touchdowns in the first three games.
