The Orlando Magic emptied house ahead of the NBA trade deadline, including a trade that sent Aaron Gordon to the Denver Nuggets. Ahead of his possible debut with the Nuggets, Gordon highlighted why he's anxious to get a chance to play in Denver, via the Denver Post's Mike Singer.

Gordon spent six and a half seasons with the Magic after being selected as the No. 4 overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft out of Arizona. Earlier in his career, Gordon was mostly known for his outrageous dunks, especially in the NBA Dunk Contest.

However, while he's still capable of leaping over defenders, the latest Nuggets addition has become a more well-rounded player. Amid the injury concerns he's had in his career, Gordon has developed an efficient three-point shot, allowing him to shoot a career-high 37.5 percent from outside the arc this season.

During his tenure in Orlando, Gordon spent plenty of seasons missing out on a chance to play in the playoffs. Throughout his first six years, Gordon only had one opportunity to perform in the postseason, which came in the 2018-2019 season, where the Magic were eliminated in the first round. That all changes in Denver.

But as Gordon joins the Nuggets, this is the first time that he'll be suiting up for a team that has an opportunity to make a deep playoff run. Denver currently holds the No. 5 seed in the Western Conference and they have the potential NBA MVP in Nikola Jokic leading the way. With his time with the Magic coming to a halt, Gordon is going to be more motivated than ever as he joins the Nuggets.
