Chicago Bulls center Nikola Vucevic is not letting his fellow Nikola to be disrespected. After Fox Sports analyst Nick Wright disrespected Nikola Jokic's MVP credentials, Vucevic fired back and defended the Denver Nuggets superstar.

Wright claimed that if Jokic wins the award, he'll be the worst MVP since Dave Cowens “in almost 50 years.” He also emphasized that the award is for the “Most Valuable” and not the “Best Statistical Resume.”

After seeing the disrespectful comments made to the Nuggets star, Vucevic wasn't able to hold back and slammed the Fox Sports commentator. Put simply, the Bulls big man questioned the credibility and take of Wright.

Sure enough, Nick Wright's remarks are blatant disrespect to Nikola Jokic and the work he has put in. After all, he has carried the Nuggets and kept them going even after the injury to Jamal Murray.

Compared to other MVP candidates like Joel Embiid, The Joker has also shown his longevity as he has played and started in all 66 games for the Nuggets this season. The Serbian big man has led Denver to the fourth seed in the tough Western Conference as well, boasting a 44-22 record prior to Friday's contest against the Jazz.

While Wright probably wanted to make a case why Chris Paul should be the MVP, arguing that Jokic doesn't deserve the award is simply confusing. After all, while the Nuggets have other talents in Michael Porter Jr. and Murray, they would be simply different without Jokic.

His all-around game has worked wonders for the Nuggets, and it is easy to say he is the Most Valuable Player on Denver right now. Can you imagine how the team would play without the All-Star big man?

Jokic is currently considered the frontrunner to win MVP, and there's no doubt he deserves it should he officially get the recognition.
