Just two years ago, Isaiah Thomas was a top candidate for the MVP award. The NBA seems to have forgotten about the newly-acquired Denver Nuggets point guard's capabilities. Therefore, Thomas himself flocked to Instagram to remind all of us of his accomplishments.

As observed by Jay King of The Athletic, below are some screenshots of Thomas' Instagram stories which show his milestones over the years.

He had just agreed to a one-year, $2-million deal with the Nuggets. It's quite unfortunate seeing a player of Thomas' ilk sign such a mediocre deal. Just last season, he was climbing his way towards a max-deal.

But a hip injury, coupled with a seeming lack of chemistry with the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Los Angeles Lakers turned his fantasies into a lost cause. Does posting his accomplishments on social media help him further his career? Perhaps not quite but it sure does help Thomas motivate himself.

Since being selected 60th overall in 2011, it seems that Thomas' career is built upon proving himself that he belongs. After spending three good years with the Sacramento Kings, he spent half-a-season with the Phoenix Suns. After which, he was sent to Boston where he bloomed.

Then all of a sudden, as a result of Kyrie Irving's request for a trade, his blossoming career in Boston — where he was already a bona fide star — was cut short. Every event after that was a downhill ride.

Perhaps these facts are running through Thomas' mind right now. Maybe people did forget about him. In a crowd where everyone is at least a foot taller than you, it's easy to go unnoticed. Thomas understands this. He has made a living trying to outplay people taller than him.
