Jamal Murray's injury status has been a major point of concern for many Denver Nuggets fans. The Canadian star has missed the entire season due to an ACL tear last year. There were hopes that Murray could return before the playoffs started. However, those hopes were quickly dashed this week, as there's still uncertainty regarding his status.

After the Nuggets' practice, coach Michael Malone gave some insights on Murray's plight this season. The Coach bared that the star has been raring to go out and play, but he's questioning whether he's even ready to step onto the court. (via Mike Singer)

Well, considering that Nikola Jokic warned his teammate to not rush things, it's understandable for the Nuggets star to be more cautious.

Having Murray back in the fold will be a huge boon for the Nuggets team. Without him and Michael Porter Jr., the team was forced to rely on Jokic to carry much of the offensive load. While the Joker is an MVP-caliber player who can carry his team to wins, that system is unsustainable in the playoffs.

Many fans hoped that Murray could play a few garbage-time minutes here and there to ease him back into action. Returning from an ACL tear is no easy feat, after all. However, it does seem like the Nuggets star is still having some doubts about his status and whether he's at 100%. There are reports that he could play in Game 1, but it's still unlikely at this point.

If Murray does play, the Nuggets are more than likely going to give Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors one hell of a fight. The question is: does the team think playing a less-than-healthy Murray is ideal for them?
