Michael Porter Jr. may not be suiting up right now, but he's still making headlines for hilarious reasons. The Denver Nuggets star went viral recently for a video of him and his car getting towed in the city. The true reason, though, will make you laugh out loud.

As Porter Jr. was trying to argue with the towing company and convince them to let it go, the Nuggets forward asked out loud, “You supposed to look out for other brothers!” (referring to Black people). The towing guy replied, “I'm Puerto Rican”, leaving Porter Jr. shocked. (via Reddit)

If you didn't know, Porter Jr. himself is biracial. The Nuggets forward's father, Michael Porter Sr., is black. Still, for him to mistake a Puerto Rican guy as a black person is a little bit funny.

The Nuggets forward has missed significant time this season due to lingering injuries to his back, among other things. Porter Jr.'s draft stock infamously tanked due to said back injuries in his college career, allowing him to drop to Denver all the way at number 14. Since then, he's been a great scorer for the team.

Denver has been trying to keep themselves afloat amidst this injury-riddled season. Nikola Jokic has been making a great case to repeat as league MVP this season, and Bones Hyland is emerging as a legitimate NBA talent. Still, for the team to reach their full potential, they'll need both Jamal Murray and MPJ to come back from injuries (and avoid any other towing mishaps, while they're at it).
