It’s hard to find a pettier pro sports league than the NBA. From Kevin Durant trading jabs on social media with a teenager to Russell Westbrook getting slighted after mistakenly thinking that he was picked last in the All-Star Draft to J.R. Smith throwing a bowl of soup, the NBA has it all in the book.

Name it, the NBA has it. The league is even starting these players young.

Take for example Denver Nuggets rookie forward Michael Porter Jr., who was recently caught liking a comment that said Dallas Mavericks newbie Luka Doncic is overrated.

Maybe Porter is still a bit salty of the fact that he slid all the way down to the 14th spot in last June’s NBA Draft before a team, the Nuggets, took him off the board. Prior to the draft, Porter was projected by a number of experts as a top-five pick, but that obviously did not happen, as he nearly fell out of the lottery.

Porter has the tools and the skills to make it big in the NBA, but the big question is whether his body can survive in the pros. His problematic back has already caused him to drop low in the draft, and a recent surgery on his lumbar spine has put his availability for the next season in jeopardy.

Luka Doncic, meanwhile, was very much hyped up leading into the draft, where he was selected third overall by the Atlanta Hawks before getting shipped to Dallas for Trae Young.

Porter is still only 20, so there’s plenty of time for him to prove the teams that skipped him in the draft wrong.
