Nick Young made his Denver Nuggets debut Friday night at home against the Oklahoma City Thunder and the fans in the Mile High City love Swaggy P already.

Upon entering the game, Nuggets fans gave Nick Young a standing ovation and the crowd got even louder after he made his first jump shot. After the game, Young told reporters he wasn't surprised by the reception because he knows people just love to say his name.

Young played eight minutes versus the Thunder and scored six points, both of which came from beyond the arc. Young figures to be a fan favorite in Denver as long as he behaves and, of course, hits his shots from the perimeter. The veteran shooting guard spent last year with the Golden State Warriors and won a championship.

The Nuggets were able to get Young via the hardship exception, allowing them to sign a 16th player due to their injury woes. Gary Harris, Will Barton, Isaiah Thomas, Michael Porter Jr. and Paul Millsap are all out for Denver at the moment.

Young is receiving a non-guaranteed, minimum-salary contract with the Nuggets, who are 19-9 on the season and have the best record in the Western Conference.
