Nikola Jokic is coming off one of his worst performances this season after only putting up one shot in the Denver Nuggets' loss to the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday. The head-scratching performance from Jokic warrants some skepticism from the media and Nuggets' fan base alike.

Unfortunately, Jokic was wholly uninterested in answering any of those questions as evidenced by his media availability following Nuggets shootaround on Friday morning:

Nikola Jokic was unwilling to shoot at all in the game against the Grizzlies. It was strange to watch such a gifted offensive player pass up open shot after open shot. It almost looked like Jokic was trying to prove a point that the Nuggets were so good that they could win without him taking a single shot.

If that was his plan, it backfired when the Grizzlies held a two-point lead in the waning seconds and Jokic took his first shot of the game, a triple with two seconds left on the clock.

If Jokic was trying to prove a point, he didn't. The lowly Grizzlies upended the red-hot Nuggets when everyone least expected it. Look for Jokic to be a little more aggressive in finding his shot moving forward. He hasn't taken double-digit shots since Halloween against the Chicago Bulls.

The Nuggets welcome the Brooklyn Nets to town as they look to rebound from Jokic's uninspiring performance. The Nets are no easy victory, and they're looking to announce their presence this season. A victory over Jokic and the Nuggets would be a great place to start.

Conversely, Nikola Jokic is looking to prove that the Memphis game was a fluke, just not in so many words.
