Green Bay Packers star Aaron Rodgers has been in the news quite a bit lately. Rodgers was the talk of the NFL earlier this year when he tested positive for COVID-19. The Packers star then made the news headlines for his vaccination status before sustaining a mysterious toe injury that had limited him in practice last week. As it turns out, it's not just any toe injury.

COVID toe is essentially when the toes on the body of someone who contracted COVID-19 swell up and become discolored, per the American Academy of Dermatology.

This is still a very real issue for the Packers, who have their sights set on the Super Bowl. With two of their next three games against NFL contenders such as the Los Angeles Rams and Baltimore Ravens, the Packers could find themselves sliding out of the race for the NFC's No. 1 seed if Rodgers doesn't look like himself.

Fortunately for the Packers, they have a Week 13 bye coming up following their contest against the Rams. The timing of the bye could allow Rodgers to get some much-needed rest before the stretch run.

That's the only silver lining in this news for Packers fans.
