Green Bay Packers star quarterback Aaron Rodgers returned to the Pat McAfee Show on Tuesday, and while he didn't bring any news regarding his NFL future, he did discuss the recent 12-day Panchakarma cleanse he went on. Rodgers described how he had been undergoing the Panchakarma cleanse over the past 12 days, and that he had just finished cleansing on Monday. For those of you wondering just what a Panchakarma cleanse is, one Twitter user, @veith_daniel, laid it all out for us, and it sounds like quite the ride, to say the least.

Essentially, Aaron Rodgers' cleanse consisted of him stuffing himself full of Ghee, a form of clarified butter, for three days straight, until he “evacuated” out of both ends. The cleanse then consists of one day of “therapeutic vomiting,” followed by a day of “laxative therapy.” Those endearing activities are then followed by three days of herbal nose drops and “multiple days of enemas.” Throughout the entire process, the participant is frequently practicing yoga and meditation.

So, if what Rodgers says is true, and that he just completed the 12-day Panchakarma cleanse, the aforementioned routine is what the Packers' star quarterback has endured over the past 12 days. Rodgers willingly subjected himself to this 12-day cleanse, and then went on a popular podcast to broadcast it to the world. If enduring days of “evacuation” is what it takes to clear your head, all the power to you, Aaron.

The Panchakarma cleanse is meant to cleanse the body of all unwanted waste and lubricate the body. Some of the reported benefits include a healed digestive system, enhanced immunity, anti-aging, deep relaxation, a “meditative outlook on life,” and “balanced doshas,” among other things.
