Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers were viewed as a significant underdog in Week 8 against the Los Angeles Rams. Very few people gave them a chance to give the Rams their first loss of the season. While the Packers did not end up winning the game, they certainly gave L.A. a run for their money.

Green Bay ended up losing the game by a final score of 29-27. Rodgers was set to get a chance to win the game for the Packers, but a costly mistake and fumble on the kickoff return by Ty Montgomery ended those hopes.

Despite the disappointing loss, Rodgers is not upset or stressed out. In a press conference shared by NFL.com, Rodgers opened up about the loss and decided to look at the good that came from it.

“I'm not stressing. There's a lot of good that happened today. I feel better about our defense. The Rams are a good team; we knew they'd score some points. I said coming in, ‘If we get to 30 (points), we win the game.' We got 27, and we gave 'em two. So there you go.”

Los Angeles is known for having a top-notch defense, and the Packers' offense has struggled this season. Rodgers and the offense did not struggle against the Rams' defense, which is a major positive.

Rodgers completed 18 of his 30 pass attempts for 286 yards, a touchdown, and no interceptions. Green Bay also saw Aaron Jones break out with an 86-yard game on the ground.

Looking ahead to Week 9, the Packers are going to have another tough test on the road against the New England Patriots on Sunday night. Rodgers and company will need to have another big game to stick with Tom Brady and company.

Expect to see the Packers come out next week looking to prove a point. They know they let a win go against the Rams and are not going to want to do that again against New England.
