Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers are running out of time to turn their season around. After losing to the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday night, the Packers are now 4-5-1 and are in legitimate danger of missing the playoffs for the second straight season.

After the game, Rodgers took exception to a question that suggests that all hope might be lost for the Packers this season. Moreover, the Packers QB is counting on a “galvanizing moment” to present itself and change the team’s fortunes.

“Come on, what kind of question is that?” Rodgers said per Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk. “I don’t even know how to answer that. What am I supposed to say? Of course there’s hope. Of course we believe in each other. It’s just going to take one galvanizing moment. Whether that’s a speech or a practice, or something happens in a game — something’s got to get this thing going.

“I thought we had moments tonight and I thought that’s where we were going. Defense — a lot of injuries. Offensively, we lost Jimmy [Graham], but guys battled, so nobody gave up hope. We just didn’t play well enough to win.”

Rodgers also didn’t think that a reprisal of his famous “R-E-L-A-X” speech will get it done and that it has to be an “authentic” moment during these tough times.

With the Packers losing ground on in the division and just six games left on the season, Rodgers and co. will need that “galvanizing” moment to come sooner rather than later.

Their next assignment will be a tough road matchup against the Vikings on Sunday night. If they fail to snap their season-long losing streak on the road in that game, that could very well be it for their playoff hopes.
