Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has done something no other QB in NFL history has ever done.

After throwing his 40th touchdown pass of the season against the Carolina Panthers, Rodgers is now the only quarterback in NFL history to throw 40 or more TDs in three seasons in his career.

This is a big accomplishment for the Packers signal-caller, especially considering the other QBs in history who have failed to do so.

While Peyton Manning has the NFL record for most touchdown passes in a season with 55 in 2013 as a member of the Denver Broncos, he only eclipsed 40 one other time in 2004 with 49 as a part of the Indianapolis Colts. He came within one with 39 in 2014 with Denver.

On the other hand, Tom Brady has only eclipsed 40 once in 2007 with 50 touchdown passes. The only other two quarterbacks who have had two 40-plus touchdown seasons are Dan Marino and Drew Brees. Marino did it in 1984 and 1986, while Brees has done it in two straight years in 2011 and 2012.

It's an important season for Aaron Rodgers after the Packers drafted Jordan Love with their first round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. Many believed this move was an indication the franchise thought Rodgers was on his last legs, but the 16th year quarterback is showing the franchise and the naysayers that it's not the case.
