Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers are in desperation mode as they prepare for their Week 13 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals. After falling to the Minnesota Vikings last week on Sunday night, the Packers are now in a position where losing would mean that their season is over. They are hanging on to the last strand of hope that they have left.

Green Bay has struggled all season long with offensive consistency. Part of the issue has been Rodgers missing throws that he usually makes. It is pretty easy to see that he is still not 100 percent after suffering a knee injury in Week 1 against the Chicago Bears.

Some have begun questioning Rodgers' fundamentals and other aspects of his game. Others have gone off the deep end and are suggesting that Rodgers is beginning to spiral downhill.

In a quote with ESPN's Rob Demovsky shared by Pro Football Talk, Rodgers answered some of the questions about his struggles.

“I don’t think I need to respond about fundamentals. I mean, I drill the fundamentals. I throw how I throw. I’m not playing any different this year. It’s just we’re not completing as many passes percentage-wise.”

He went on to talk about how he prepares and works with his coaching staff, but that he understands that when the team struggles there is a lot more scrutiny.

“I listen to my quarterback coach and my offensive coordinator and my head coach. My study of myself, I’m very critical of my own film. I’m not playing any differently fundamental-wise. You can’t have it both ways. You can’t love it when it’s a certain way and then critique it when it’s the other way. I mean, you guys can because that what you guys get paid to do. Again, that’s the news cycle. They’re going to pick at things when you’re in a situation like this where we’re at. We’re 4-6-1 so it comes with the territory.”

Rodgers has had another very good season for the Packers. He has completed 61.7 percent of his pass attempts for 3,271 yards, 20 touchdowns, and just one interception this season.

If the Packers are able to win out the rest of the way, they will give themselves a chance to make the playoffs. Rodgers will need to play at a different level in order to make that happen.

Expect to see the Packers' superstar quarterback step up and play better moving forward. He has always played well under pressure and that is not going to change this season.
