The Green Bay Packers have managed to continue their impressive run without superstar quarterback Aaron Rodergs at the helm. Their 27-21 comeback win over the lowly Cleveland Browns further keeps in the race for a potential spot in the NFC Wild Card.

That said, the return of Rodgers from the IR has raised speculation as to whether he will play as soon as Week 15 versus the Carolina Panthers. According to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport, the two-time MVP is reportedly urging the Packers to clear him for Sunday's game:

“First of all, I'm told Aaron Rodgers wants to play very, very badly. He has been clear about that. But the Packers are generally conservative and they have been discussing with several other medical experts about the risk versus reward of putting Rodgers on the field. So Rodergs himself does want to be aggressive but there's some very loud medically-conservative voices who are advising they would not be smart in potentially putting an additional risk with him on the field, especially when they are still a long-shot to make the playoffs. All of this will go into the Packers' decision by tomorrow.”

Although Rodgers has shown some tremendous progress with his injured collarbone, Green Bay may be looking to take a more precautionary route toward his return. Furthermore, backup quarterback Brett Hundley is now coming off of his second three-touchdown performance in three games.

However, the former Super Bowl MVP is seemingly adamant about a return in Week 15. Needless to say, it will be interesting to see how the Packers approach the situation in the coming days.
