The Green Bay Packers have been the center of conversation all offseason. Questions have swirled regarding the future of quarterback Aaron Rodgers amid trade talks and contract talks. He has yet to show up for any activities and his status is seriously in doubt.

Well, now there is another star player who has tabled extension talks with the Packers: wide receiver Davante Adams. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Packers and Adams are no longer discussing a long-term extension.

This might not end well for the Packers and if they can't get an extension done, Adams might end up leaving once he hits free agency. Adams' camp was adamant in getting a deal done to stay in Green Bay, however.

Adams deserves to be paid handsomely, especially after a monster season in 2020 and playing a huge role in the Packers making a trip to the NFC title game. Not extending him is confusing, and if he hits the market, he will likely walk away as the highest-paid receiver in the game.

Even with questions around Aaron Rodgers, Adams is set to have another dynamite season regardless of who plays quarterback for the green and yellow.

Questions remain in Green Bay, and now their quarterback and wide receiver duo both have issues regarding their longevity with the franchise.
