The Green Bay Packers will be on the NFL's center stage during Christmas Day, as they host the Cleveland Browns for a Week 16 matchup. The Packers defense will be getting a significant boost right in time for the Christmas clash, as Pro Bowl defensive tackle Kenny Clark is set to make his return from the COVID-19 list, according to Lily Zhao.

Clark missed the Packers' game against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 15 due to COVID, so fans will be eager to see the two-time Pro Bowler back in action.

Across 13 games this season, Clark has recorded 42 tackles, seven tackles for loss, 13 QB hits, and 4.0 sacks. The 26-year-old was the lone Packers defender to be selected to the Pro Bowl this season, showing just how influential he is to the team's defensive unit. The former first-round pick has been a mainstay on the Packers' defensive line since he was drafted in 2016, having featured in 86 games since then, starting 72.

While Clark is set to return to the fold in Week 16, Zhao reported that the team is still expected to be without safety Jaire Alexander, who has been sidelined since Week 4 when he sustained a shoulder injury against the Cincinnati Bengals. The Packers are also expected to be without Za'Darius Smith and David Bakhtiari for the matchup with Cleveland, both sidelined by injury.

The Packers defense will still be without some key components in Smith and Alexander, but the return of Clark from the COVID-list is a significant boost ahead of the holiday showcase.
