The Baltimore Ravens are crowded at the tight end position and that could mean Hayden Hurst is the odd-man-out. As Baltimore contemplates what to do with Hurst, the Green Bay Packers are listed as a potential trade destination for the Ravens tight end.

Cody Benjamin of CBS Sports compiled a list of teams that could acquire Hurst and the Packers were atop the list. It's important to note that Green Bay is probably going to part ways with Jimmy Graham this offseason. Granted that Graham is in fact released, the Packers could be in the market for a tight end.

Besides Graham, the Packers currently have Jace Sternberger and Robert Tonyan at tight end. Of those two, Sternberger would likely get the nod as the starter due to being Green Bay's third-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.

In contrast, Hurst could become a better option for the Packers if he's made available via trade. Hurst is a former first-round pick of the Ravens and there reportedly are other teams interested in him.

This season, Hurst caught a career-high 30 passes for 349 yards and two touchdowns. Those numbers could be even better if he wasn't sharing snaps with Mark Andrews and Nick Boyle.

Unquestionably, Hurst could thrive as a starter elsewhere if he was given an opportunity to be a starter. During his two years with the Ravens, he's proven that he's a capable receiver and blocker.

Above all, the Packers have enough draft picks to land the versatile tight end if they choose to do so. Unlike some of the options in free agency, Hurst would also come at a discount; having just a $3 million cap hit in 2020. If Green Bay wants to bolster their tight end position, they may want to act fast before another team acquires Hurst.
