The Green Bay Packers have remained quite busy this offseason while the heralded NFC North franchise reportedly received some good news on Monday evening.

According to a Monday report from Field Yates of ESPN, the Packers have reinstated guard Cole Madison to the team's active roster after the former fifth-round NFL Draft pick stepped away from the game for personal reasons this past August.

Madison was notably reinstated due to the fact that the Packers begin the team's initial offseason program ahead of the looming 2019 campaign. Unfortunately, the young blocker spent all of last season on the Packers' “did not report” list.

The 24-year-old Madison stands at 6'5” while weighing just under 300 pounds, allowing the up-and-coming offensive lineman to serve as a serious force up front for the Packers. Originally selected by Green Bay in the fifth round of the 2018 NFL Draft, the NFL newcomer played his collegiate football for the Washington State Cougars. It is also worth noting that Madison served as a right tackle during his collegiate playing days at Washington State. Now, he is expected to compete for playing time as a guard upon officially suiting up for the Packers.

While Green Bay has already added an abundance of talent this offseason, the majority of this talent has come into play via the defensive side of the football. On the offensive side of things, the storied franchise notably lost longtime wide receiver Randall Cobb to free agency. Cobb ultimately signed with the Dallas Cowboys, leaving the Packers with some work to do with the 2019 NFL Draft on the immediate horizon.
