The Green Bay Packers got off to a dominant start against the Minnesota Vikings in the first half. Unfortunately, they suffered a few injuries in the process. Left guard Lucas Patrick and defensive tackle Kenny Clark have been ruled out for the rest of the 2020 NFL season opener, per NFL Network's Tom Pelissero

Patrick was forced to exit with a shoulder injury while Clark later walked off under his own power with a groin issue. The loss of both players deals a crucial blow to the line of scrimmage for Green Bay. Their push had allowed them to determine their own tempo on both sides of the ball. Minnesota will now be looking to take advantage in order to swing the game in their favor.

Patrick got the start at left guard after spending the offseason showing off his skill set along the interior positions. Now that he is ruled out the rest of the afternoon, right tackle Elgton Jenkins has since filled his spot while Rick Wagner takes over the on the edge.

Clark made headlines with his efforts to stay in shape amid the restrictions placed in response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. This included pushing cars, trucks, and even buses in order to ensure that he was ready for the 2020 NFL season.

Clark's work ethic has helped him emerge as the anchor of this Packers defense lining up at nose tackle. However, they may need to take a cautious approach in order to prevent the groin injury from lingering.
